Editing Notification Settings (Which notifications an employee receives)

1. From the Employees tab, click on an employee to open their record. In the left-hand pane, click "Notifications."

2. Select one of the four basic notification options:

  • Any employee in the company: If this is selected, the employee will receive a notification if any employee in the entire company changes status via a survey or form (e.g., changes their attendance status).
  • Any employee in their division: If this is selected, the employee will receive a notification if any employee in their division changes status via a survey or form.
  • Any of their direct reports or subsidiary reports: If this is selected, the employee will receive a notification if any employee below them in their reporting chain changes status via a survey or form. This includes their direct reports as well as anyone below them in the organization.
  • Any of their direct reports: If this is selected, the employee will receive a notification only if one of their direct reports changes status via a survey or form.

3. In addition, you also have the option to augment the basic notification options by setting the employee to receive notifications about other managers' direct reports.

Scenarios where this is helpful could include:
  • The employee acts as a "backup" or "alternate" for other managers. In this case enter the names of these other managers here.
  • The employee should receive notifications about their peers - in other words, anyone who reports to their own manager. In this case, enter the name of their own manager here.
