Do I need to download an app?

Nope! You will simply receive a link that takes you to a mobile webpage. You don't even have to sign in!

What should I do if I don't have a smartphone?

TeamSense typically relies on a combination of text message and mobile webpages, but most TeamSense functionality can also work via email. 

If your company is using TeamSense for COVID-19 symptom-screening, it is also possible for employees to be screened by someone else (someone like a manager asks you the screening questions when you arrive and enters them into TeamSense).

How does TeamSense protect my privacy and keep my information secure?

Privacy and security is at the core of what TeamSense does, and we take it very seriously. You are trusting us with important, personal information and we appreciate your trust. We work hard to make sure you feel confident in TeamSense, and want to make sure you know that…

    ...we NEVER sell or rent your information to non-affiliated companies

    ...we encrypt all your data (in transit and at rest)

    ...we store all your data in AWS data centers that meet SOC 2, ISO 27001, and numerous other standards for security

    ...we limit access to your survey responses to specific individuals designated by your employer

Beyond my survey responses, what other data does TeamSense monitor? What does TeamSense do with that data?

As with the majority of websites today, we collect data to help serve you in the event of any issues and to help improve our services. These data are generally evaluated in aggregate to help us understand patterns (In other words, we're not "zooming in" to look at data for particular individuals, and in many cases cannot tie data to particular individuals even if we wanted to - which we don't).

Examples of data we might collect include:

  • Technology: We collect information about what technology our customers use to access TeamSense - for example, devices, operating systems, browsers, etc.. This kind of information helps us design and test our product to support the technology you choose to use. 
  • Usage: We collect information about how TeamSense is used (such as how long it takes individuals to complete a survey, which pages are viewed, etc.), so we can identify opportunities to improve our product.
  • Errors: We collect information on any errors an individual encounters while using TeamSense, so we can help troubleshoot the issue.
  • Location: We do not "track" your location, but we do infer your general regional area (e.g., city or metropolitan area) when you have our web pages open. This information enables us to do things like block malicious access from places where we do not have customers.

How does TeamSense use cookies and why are they important?

As with all web applications, we use cookies so we can keep you "signed in" and know who you are from page to page. If you disable your cookies, you would not be able to use TeamSense.

In some cases, we might use cookies to provide you with a better experience. For example, we may use a cookie to remember you, so you don't have to sign in to TeamSense every time, or to recall that you prefer to access TeamSense in Spanish.

Finally, our partners (like Google Analytics) use cookies to monitor the information described above (e.g., technology, usage, errors, etc.).

Does TeamSense sell my data to any third party?

Absolutely NOT. We do not rent or sell information about you to non-affiliated companies.
